APPMA Announces 2004 New Product Showcase Winners
The Best New Products Selected From Nearly 600 New Pet Products Launched at APPMA's 46th Annual Pet Products Trade Show
GREENWICH, CT., March 24, 2004 - The leading pet product industry association, The American Pet Products Manufacturers Association, announced today the winners of one of the most prestigious awards within the industry, New Product Showcase Best In Show Winners.
Nearly 600 new pet products were launched in The New Products Showcase at the American Pet Product Manufacturers Association's 46th Annual Pet Products Trade Show in New Orleans, March 17-19. APPMA awarded first, second and third prizes in 11 categories. The contest, which was judged by national and international industry buyers, is designed to recognize the year's best creative efforts in new pet products and point-of-purchase displays.

PET AGE "Retailer Select®" AWARD FOR PRODUCT EXCELLENCE
Spotless Paw™ is the proud recipient of the PET AGE "Retailer Select®" Award for Product Excellence. The award was presented at the H.H. Backer Associates' 37th Annual Pet Industry Christmas Trade Show and Educational Conference, held October 10-12, 2003 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont (Chicago), Illinois.
More than 7,500 buyers from 2,462 companies were eligible to vote for their favorite product among the 727 exhibitors displaying products. The retailers were encouraged to make their selections based upon quality, packaging and design, past/potential sales performance and price. The show also featured more exhibitors than any other national trade show held to date.
The award was presented by Patty Backer, president of Backer Associates and Karen Long MacLeod, associate publisher/editor in chief of PET AGE.
